MAURICE BACKHOUSE It is with great sadness that we inform you that Maurice Backhouse passed away on Friday 29 December 2017.  Maurice lived in Sutton all his life, working for the Paul Estate, Cliff Farm, Mills and finally as Green keeper at Woodbridge Golf Club.  He was also a part time Gamekeeper.  A man of many talents.

Maurice was very involved with the Memorial Hall and Sutton Bowls Club.   During his time with the Bowls Club he was Captain and Green keeper.  He also bowled very successfully in numerous County competitions.

Maurice will be sadly missed by all.
