Village Breakfast

o

Sutton is a village in the Suffolk Coasts and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and has All  Saints Church, the Sutton Plough Pub and the Village Memorial Hall.

It is the largest parish in Suffolk and is bordered by the River Deben, Rendlesham Forest to the East and, to the North, is the Sutton Hoo Estate, the latter being the site of the world famous Anglo Saxon Ship

Please have a look around the site and, if you have any comments or suggestions for our website, please   send them to suttonsuffolk@gmail.com or click here..

Stop Press

Deer there has been an increase in the number of Deer and Muntjac involved in car accidents on the Heath Road over the last few weeks.

Memorial Hall 100 club. the winners for the

February draw were:1st £30 Ball 8 Tony Cherry 2nd £20 Ball 17 Christopher Norton 3rd £10 Ball 10 Joan Scanlan 4th £5 Ball 6 Joy Porter . Well done all, thank you to all that entered the draw this month. This draw brings in a regular income for the play equipment fund and more numbers available should anyone else wish to join in! Anyone can join at any time, for more details please contact David. on 01394 410279.

Recreation Ground Fencing. Fencing has been erected to securely section off the recreation ground in order to protect the now well used football pitches. We are the only field on the peninsular which do not have this kind of barrier and sadly have had a number of incidents where cars have been performing unwanted actions on the field. So far this has only resulted in minor damage but only by luck. Organisers will be given the number combination to the field gates and a pedestrian gate is to be installed on the left hand side which will always be open. The remaining fencing will be in situ by the end of March on delivery of the outstanding posts.

Hedges if you have a hedge on the boundary of your property and it is growing over the public footpath/pavement can we please ask that you trim back the hedging to allow full access of the footway and also to improve visibility on any road junctions. Thank you.

The Hall page has details of Pilates and Dance classes and other facilities (Mobile Post Office, Library etc) as well as information on how to hire the Hall. You will also find the village Newsletters and details of Parish Council members and meetings.

The 'events' calendar has details of Quiz nights and other events - simply click on a darker shaded date or go to the 'Events' link on the right.

Finally, all the pictures on the site were taken in or around the village. If you have photos of the village, historical or current, please use the 'Contact Us' link on the right to get in touch.

Thank you
