CANCELLED Open Gardens
It is 15 years since we started the Sutton Open Gardens Event, initially it was held each year for a couple of years and then it became the biennial event it is now. For those of you who are new to the village or have not been involved in the scheme before, may we explain it to you.
The event is held to raise funds jointly for All Saints Church and the Memorial Hall and residents kindly agree to open their gardens for public viewing.
Visitors to the village buy a programme from the Memorial Hall and the programmes have a map of the village locating where the various gardens are that are open to the public. Also there is a brief description of each garden which is written by the person(s) opening their garden. Each open garden displays a bunch of balloons and our visitors are invited to follow the balloon trail.
Cream Teas are served from the Old Vicarage from 3pm. Toilet facilities are available at the Memorial Hall and at the Church. We do provide transport to those gardens which are in the outlying areas of the village.
If you are interested in opening your garden or would like more information please phone Daphne on 01394 384659 or Sue on 01394 411793.
Thank you for your consideration.
